This is a write up on swapping out the fuel injectors. It's more for the benefit of those that have never done it before.

Hey sorry not been around in abit peeps..busy times...stuff settling again(back to workin only one job now..lol)
Anyways I figured I'd put my 2cents in here..
That's a good right up..but must note a thing or too

If your doin the injectors on a Non HO(aka anything before 91) then you'll need different Orings....all they list is the same ones for all of them(trust me its a PITA) but the ones from FelPro gaskets are the correct ones(trust me....workin at a PartSource now...went through this..lol...ordered a couple sets before finding the correct ones..and the aftermarket don't differentate between them)

Also...even though I couldn't afford it at the time (had a leaky oring) I am planning on putting 5.0 injectors in....that coupled with a adjustable MAP and a couple other tricks should put a little life back into my 87...aka Tweeter

Yup, Fel Pro is the only way to go. I'll go out of my way to get their gaskets, seals, or 'O' rings.

Cool write up!

I plan on doing this, but it's kind of a scary thing... I mean, if I screw it up, I can burn the Jeep down, know what I mean? I plan on using rebuilt injectors from this site http://www.precisionautoinjectors.com/c ... tegoryId=3 and know not to expect miracles; just another step in getting the XJ running as smoothly, and efficiently as I can.

I plan on doing it in the spring though. To effing cold! *L*

I know about the cold. I did the injectors when it was 34 F out. Now I have a few thing not working correctly, so they'll just have to wait till it gets warmer. My son-in-law has his garage tied up with a big job, so anything I want to do right now, I do in my drive. 14" of snow just doesn't make it possible.
