so i just got my add-on lift in. Finnally shipped all the way here. 2 inch coil spacer for the front, 1.5" shackle for the rear with a 1/2 inch mini block. Comes with shock extentions and i also orderd a new adjustable trac bar. Attempted to install the shackle on driver side tonight and i belive i broke the nut inside the frame rail on the top of the shackle. I really dont want to cut into the floor to gain access, its a new floor with a nice coating, but if it has to be done ....it has to be done, any other suggestions?? ( ive even been using some crazy amounts of release-all over the last week and tried loosening a little then tightening a little and so on)

You've got a few more choices, neither pretty but do work.

1. Torch out the nutsert then remove the broken bolt from the piece you cut out. Then weld back in.

2. Use an offset drill and drill out the broken bolt, or use a torch and see if you can burn out just the broken bot stud.

Maybe somebody else has other ideas.

Oh and congrats on getting the components.

Its a driveway job, and i have no torch, so looks like ill have to be cutting my brand new floor :worry: It feels like the bolt+nut are still attached completely and intact but just spinning in the hole,

Ah! Different story. Cut through the bottom of the frame rail just below the nut sert. Make it big enough to get vice grips, etc. in there. Soak it good for a day or two (if you can) with PB Blaster to loosen the stud more from the nut sert. You can always get the hole you cut welded after you get the job done.

And definately get it welded up. Lots of stresses in that area.

Do you think thats better then cutting an access hole through the floor?

Personally? Yes. The mess is outside and not inside. Not messing with a carpet.

I dunno, I just don't like doing anything inside that I can do outside.

I took my bumper off and gained access....I had to make the stock hole in the back a little bigger by taken a angle grinder and maken slots from the top of the hole....THEN bent the :"lip" that those cuts made....lots of room then....you can put a wrench on it from there...and when it's all said and done...bend the lip back down and put bumper on....no holes in floors or frame(well ya made a stock hole a little bigger that's about it..lol...but with bumper one no one can see)

If ya need I think I got some pictures somewhere on my computer of what I did...lemmie know
Hope this helps
